Cartoons About Our American Economy - 25 Sept 2010
Check out cartoonist opinions this week on the state of the American economy.
From Denny: It's amazing how strident the voices of reason have to grow louder and louder before our tone deaf politicians finally hear us. We should have elections every 30 days as that's about the only way we would get really good government. If they had to prove to the American people every month why they should get to keep their job perhaps we would never be in the mess we are in today. Politicians would start growing a long term view of stabilizing this country.
That said, cartoonists always slice and dice the "spinning" lies told by propaganda media like Glenn Beck Entertainment, Inc., Fox News and the corporate Democratic spin doctors. The national cartoonists open a window for the truth to finally be seen. Take a look at this week's offerings from our humorous friends who have a way with visual opinion.

Koran Book Burning, September 11th Cartoons - 18 Sept 2010
Check out what the nation's cartoonists had to say about the Burn a Koran Day call from a Florida pastor who eventually backed down from his threat.
Jewish Comic Jon Stewart mocking the Florida Koran Book Burning Pastor
From Denny: It's amazing just how far hate will go to be destructive - whether it's Islamic terrorists or now, in Florida, Christian terrorists. Fortunately, the threat to burn 200 Koran books did not happen but it sure caused a huge international furor. Some good came out of this insanity: many moderates in Christianity, Judaism and Islam all banned together in solidarity denouncing this Florida pastor's hate and violence. All this craziness sure created a surreal atmosphere on the ninth anniversary of September 11.
Qur'an - Koran Book Burning Threat:
September 11th Nine Year Anniversary:

Dennys Photo Gallery: Our Mysterious Moon
The moon continues to fascinate humanity - and creative photographers.
From Denny: For those of you familiar with this blog you know I've been on another "rest my brain from writing vacation" and tripping through the flickr database finding awesome photos! Take a look at what I found this week while I was searching for photos to illustrate a poem. One post always seems to lead to yet another.
What beauty in these wonderful photos! Included are any interesting comments from the photographers. I enlarged the photos so you can enjoy the emotional impact as well - so give them time to load if your connection or the web is a bit slow. They are well worth the wait.
