I love the humor in this shot - like one of the hottest chile peppers in the world, habanero, could be cool and refreshing! :) I liked it so much it's the title photo for my humor blog: Ouch Outrageous Obnoxious And Odd.

What started out as a blog to say thank you to flickr photographers who placed their photos in creative commons for use by online writers like me has become something bigger.

This blog is also a home for genealogy photos I've restored over the years. After years of searching, it's pretty cool when you finally run into someone who has a photo of your great-great grandparents that your family line used to own but somehow changed hands over the generations. What's beautiful is how much a computer can restore old photos to near pristine to look like the photo shoot was just yesterday!

Feedburner Glitch

Now I know why my feed counts have been going up and down wildly. Turns out Feedburner keeps deactivating them: on all 7 blogs! So, apologies, if you have found this maddening; join the club. Guess it's taking Google and Feedburner longer to merge and work out the gremlins than they are telling the public, oh, well... Meanwhile, rest assured I will be now manually monitoring these feeds twice a day to keep them activiated. Thank you for your patience everyone!

Don't you just love this photo of an ass? Such a good fit when things go wrong because that's how you feel and look to others! Might as well have some fun with screw-ups, right! ;)

Art Photos vs. Illustrative Photos Placed in Online Articles

From Denny: For those who are here on your first visit - I write online and place photos from flickr's Creative Commons area in my articles for HubPages. These folks at flickr are just wonderful!

Sometimes my photo choices are more illustrative than art photography when it comes to the articles. I blog the flickr photos placed in my articles over at flickr to this blog as an efficient way to notify the photographers about their photos finding a new home to be shown off again online!

It saves about 15 minutes per person on trying to send everyone a separate email on flickr. That can get overwhelming when I use sometimes 10 or more photos per article. At Christmas I placed over 50 photos in one article and was frazzled from the effort but I slogged on through as I like folks to know I appreciate them. Blogging the photos from flickr to this blog is a great way to thank the photographers publicly and the added benefit of showing their work yet one more time! Win-win!
