A Truth Journal: Our Freedom: Living Courage, Dying For Honor: Celebrating Vietnam War USMC GSGT Charles "Chuck" Perkins: From Denny:  Today is more than just that long needed holiday vacation with the family, fun backyard barbecues and country music festivals.  It's one of those few days of the year that Americans come together to remember the fallen in our too many wars over the past few centuries of our young country.

Some of those wars were justified for the greater good to bring back world peace.  Other wars spilled precious blood for nothing more than the Pentagon leaders' selfish need for personal glory and the just plain money-grubbing greed of business people:  otherwise known as war profiteers.

Profiteers and War and Bad Politics 

FYI, for those who don't remember or don't know:  The Vietnam War was a proxy war between the U. S. and Russia.  Russia backed North Vietnam and the U. S. backed South Vietnam.

"Feeding the Beast" of Russia with American Money 

Profiteers are still with us today, not just the Vietnam War era.  Take a look at how our current day Pentagon is busy "feeding the military beast" of Russia.  The latest nonsense is giving away half a billion dollars to the Russians in exchange for Russian rocket engines that you know Putin will sabotage.  Come on, really?  Putin is supposed to be under sanctions, and, yet, our Pentagon and Congress find a way to feed his ailing economy another $500 million???  The sanctions won't work as long as the Pentagon, Congress and Wall Street cockroach around them...

A Truth Journal: TPP Trade Deal: What Is It With Obamas Shady Controversial Trade Deal That Can Destroy The U. S. Economy?: From Denny:  Well, it's certainly understandable why a lame duck President is so interested in acquiring somewhere to bank his legacy in the history books.  This 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal is reported to corral a good 40 percent of the world's trade.  Sounds good, but is it really that good for America?  In most large trade deals it's the American worker that always loses out and it really doesn't do much to move the needle on the U. S. economy.  Most Democrats in Congress don't think so because of all this outrageous secrecy and insufficient worker protections.

President Obama has been far too secretive about this deal.  He has refused for Congress to even read it but demanded they vote upon it quickly.  Obama finally allowed the Senate to read it but did not allow them to publicly discuss it.  Has the House even read it?  Of course, Obama never wanted the press to get a hold of it because we would have torn it to bits, finding every hole in it that exposes the American worker to financial ruin...

A Truth Journal: A Russian Tale: Putin Kills Children, Without Regret World Powers Still Do Business With Russia: From Denny:  With the intentional shooting down of the mainly medical civilians on that Malaysian MH-17 jet by Russian military and Russian militia who targeted a civilian jet inside Ukraine's borders, they willfully killed 298 people, including many children.  The Russian President Putin, the Russian military, the Russian "diplomats," the Russian business sector, the Russian "militia" trained and commanded by Russian military, the Russian media are all in lock step proclaiming how good it is to kill civilians flying far above the designated war arena air space.  The Malaysian jet was flying at 33,000 feet, a good 1,000 feet above the 32,000 no fly zone.  To hear the Russians tell it everyone else, most especially Ukraine, is responsible for those deaths, not despicable Russia.

What about the words "decency" and "common sense" and "sanity" don't they understand?  Russia's tactic is if they lie long enough that eventually everyone will give in and accept the lies.  Well, that sure isn't working well, judging by the growing international furious anger at Russia.  Even the Russian people are horrified and rightfully embarrassed at the despicable behavior of their government officials.

*** updates daily ***  From Denny:  Back up blogging after weeks long onslaught of Russian cyberattacks on my blogs.  Oh, well, nothing like waiting them out and recircling like a proper yard cat.  A lot of fussing and cussing at Blogger and Google up on Twitter was also helpful.

Nor am I well impressed with the NSA and CIA gremlins still surveilling me because of my vociferous opinions about their police state tactics, especially against journalists.  These days, as a journalist, it's getting more difficult to tell the Good Guys Governments from the Bad Guys Governments because ALL of them are suppressing the Truth from every media outlet quarter, including bloggers.

Of course, you didn't think a little strong arming would stop me, now did you?...
